Run Soro before it wakes.
Five thousand runners on the closed roads of a coastal Odisha town. Out past paddy fields and village ponds as the sun comes up, three distances, and a finish line in the middle of Soro with the whole town out to cheer.
One morning.
The whole town
out.
For race morning, Soro’s roads belong to runners. No traffic breaks, no rolling closures, no dodging trucks, tractors or cycles at the far end of the course. The course is flat, measured and certified, the clock is honest, and every finisher comes home to a town that has turned out to cheer.
Fully closed
Every metre of every course is shut to traffic from 03:00 until the final cut-off. Marshals every 400 m.
Chip & net
Disposable bib-mounted chips, timing mats at each turn-around, and gun plus net times published before you finish your coffee.
Doctors on course
Six medical posts, four ambulances, roaming physios on bikes and defibrillators at every aid station.
₹300 per entry
Three hundred rupees of every registration buys running tracks and sports kit for village schools across Balasore district.
Pick your
suffering.
Entry fees include the timing chip, finisher tee, medal, on-course nutrition and post-race recovery. Slots are released on a first-come basis and every edition so far has sold out before the gun.

How does payment work?
Registration is confirmed only after payment succeeds. Choose either instant checkout through Cashfree (UPI app, card, net banking or wallet — we never see your card details), or the UPI QR transfer: scan our QR, pay the exact amount, and share the transaction reference (UTR) on your status page. A race team member matches every reference against the bank statement, usually within a few hours, and your bib number is issued the moment the payment is confirmed. Prefer to watch? Open the payment guide video.
How do I track my payment or entry?
Open Track your payment and enter the email, full name, date of birth and mobile number you registered with — all four must match. You will see your registration status, any UTR you submitted and the verification result, with a link back to your private confirmation page. One email or mobile number can hold only one active entry per edition.
Can I get a refund?
Entries are refundable in full up to 30 days before race day, and at 50% up to 14 days before. Inside 14 days there are no refunds, because your bib, tee and medal have already been produced. Refunds return to the original payment method within 5–7 working days.
Can I transfer my entry or change distance?
You can move down a distance free of charge until 15 November. Moving up is subject to slots and you pay the difference. Transferring your entry to another runner is allowed once, up to 21 days before the race, for a ₹250 admin fee.
When and where do I collect my bib?
At the race expo in the Race Village, Soro, on 4 and 5 December, 10:00 to 20:00. Bring a photo ID matching your registration. There is no race-day bib collection for any distance. Someone else can collect for you with a signed authorisation and copies of both IDs.
Is the course suitable for a first race?
Yes. Soro sits on the coastal plain of north Odisha, so the course is flat from start to finish, and the generous cut-offs mean walkers who keep moving will finish. Pacers run with the 10K field.
How do I get to Soro?
Soro is in Balasore (Baleswar) district, on NH-16 about 30 km south of Balasore town. By train, Soro has its own station on the Howrah–Chennai main line, with services from Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Balasore and Kolkata. By air, fly into Bhubaneswar and continue by road or rail. Plan to arrive by Saturday: you need to collect your bib at the expo before race day.
What will the weather be like?
December is the best month to run in coastal Odisha. Expect a cool, often misty start and a warm, humid late morning. The 10K is flagged off first, at 06:00, to make the most of the cool hours. Drink at every aid station even if you do not feel thirsty.
What if I cannot start on the day?
Tell us before race day and we will post your tee and medal at cost, or hold a 50% credit against the 2027 edition. Deferrals must be requested before 1 December.
